How do European Higher Education Institutions Recognise Student Engagement?
Description
The report explores the recognition and support mechanisms for student engagement in European higher education institutions (HEIs), focusing on how institutions acknowledge student involvement within academic curricula. Based on the European STEP survey conducted between February 19th and April 29th, 2019, the findings highlight the strategies and policies of 104 HEIs from 26 EU countries regarding formal validation of students' engagement activities within their academic pursuits.
The European STudent Engagement Project (European STEP) project contributed to the recognition and improvement of students’ active participation in Europe, particularly as a factor in the development of key and cross-curricular skills complementary to the academic path.
