Fornax floridana Otto, 2020

This rarely collected eucnemid species has been recorded in Florida (Otto 2020). A new state record is now confirmed in Georgia. One specimen was taken from a UV light trap. GEORGIA: GEORGIA: Whitfield Co./ Rocky Face Ridgeline/ 5.2 km SW of Dalton/ Dug Gap Mountain Rd./ 34.741389, −85.015000 // 30 June–1 July 2021 / 429m, UV light trap/ James K. Adams (1, CMNH).
