This folder contains the PyFerret codes (*.jnl files) and Gnuplot codes (*.gp files) used to generate results in the manuscript titled “Amundsen Sea Circulation Controls Bottom Upwelling and Antarctic Pine Island and Thwaites Ice Shelf Melting” in Nature Communications in 2024 by Taewook Park, Nakayama Yoshihiro, SungHyun Nam.

Instructions for Running Codes:

To install PyFerret program and Python module, installation guidelines are provided on the PyFerret GitHub repository managed by NOAA/PMEL. The version utilized in this study is 7.5. The repository can be accessed at https://github.com/NOAA-PMEL/PyFerret

To generate Figure 1, use the following command in the terminal,

    $ ferret -script Fig1.jnl

For Gnuplot, installation guidelines are provided on the Gnuplot GitHub page. The version utilized in this study is 5.4. The repository can be accessed at https://github.com/gnuplot/gnuplot

To generate Supplementary Figure 3a, use the following command in the terminal,

   $ gnuplot Suppl.Fig3a.gp
