OS Café: Intro to research data management (RDM), requirements, DMPs and data organization

This lecture will provide insight into the growing importance of the role of Research Data Managers in the academic and research context. In light of initiatives at the University of Rijeka, we will explore how this specialized role integrates into the scientific community and what the job of a Research Data Manager entails. Special emphasis will be placed on the requirements of funders and publishers/journals in the context of data management. Moreover, the lecture will address the practical aspects of creating a Data Management Plan (DMP), which has become a crucial element in applying for projects of the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ) and projects at the University of Rijeka. Participants will understand the importance of fulfilling the DMP and how it can contribute to the success of scientific projects.
