A STUDY TO ASSESS THE KNOWLEDGE REGARDING PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT OF OSTEOPOROSIS AMONG WORKING WOMEN IN SELECTED EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, BENGALURU, WITH A VIEW TO CRAFT AN INFORMATION BOOKLET

Objectives:

1.      Toassessthelevelofknowledgeregardingpreventionandmanagementofosteoporosisamongworkingwomen.

2.      Todeterminetheassociationbetweenknowledgealongwiththedemographicvariables .

Methods: Descriptive approach was used for this study to assess theknowledge regarding prevention and management of osteoporosisamongworkingwomentocollectdatafrom30subjectsselectedbysimple random technique through non probability samplingapproachused whichconsistsof2sections.

Results: Themajorityoftherespondentshadmoderateknowledgeregardingosteoporosis.

Conclusion: Thestudywasconcludedtoassesstheknowledgeregardingpreventionand management of osteoporosis among working women in selectededucational institutions, Bengaluru, with a view to develop aninformation booklet. In this descriptive study was used taking 30sample through simple random technique from two selectedinstitutions Sri Krishna Institute of Technology and Acharya Institute ofTechnology.
