En este trabajo se aborda el estudio de los caminos y puentes que, durante los siglos XVI, XVII y XVIII, se fueron vertebrando a lo largo de la cuenca del río Tajo, con especial incidencia en el sector oriental de la misma. También se aborda, de forma pormenorizada, el estudio del camino que, durante la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII, se trazó entre Almaraz y Trujillo, según la documentación obrante en el Archivo General de Simancas. Con el texto también hemos tratado de reconstruir la imagen que tuvo el viajero de dichos caminos, acudiendo para ello a los planos y dibujos de la Real Chancillería de Valladolid, de nuevo el Archivo General de Simancas, y a las descripciones de los viajeros.
Abstract (English)
This paper deals with the study of roads and bridges built during the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries along the Tagus River basin, with special emphasis on the eastern side of the basin. It also discusses, in detail, the study of the road that was built between Almaraz, and Trujillo during the second half of the 18th century, according to the documentation available at the General Archive of Simancas. In the text we have also tried to rebuild the picture a traveller had about the said roads, thereby consulting the plans and drawings of the Royal Chancery of Valladolid, once again the General Archive of Simancas, and the descriptions of travellers.
