DIGITALIZATION OF MODERN EDUCATION IS A CURRENT TREND IN THE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE GEOGRAPHY TEACHERS

As society, education theory and practice evolve, the requirements for teachers are increasingly growing. If earlier such qualities as creativity, innovation, and innovation were at the forefront, today a modern teacher is expected to be digitally literate, have mastery of digital technologies, and know how to incorporate devices into the educational process, etc.

Along with the defense sector, the economy, science, and culture, the education sector also needs to be reformed, as it is also influenced by the general civilization processes of global integration. Changes in Ukraine's higher education system are undoubtedly related to the spread of ideas of integration of educational systems of different countries, changes in strategies of the process of training future specialists, and the need to develop new scientific, methodological, psychological, pedagogical, social and cultural approaches to its organization and implementation. For two decades, the priority direction of education development has been the introduction of digital technologies that ensure further improvement of the learning process, accessibility and efficiency of education, and preparation for activities in the digital knowledge society. The significant pace of informatization of society requires the formation of future teachers' constant readiness for lifelong learning, the ability to update their knowledge in a short time and improve their competencies.
