Description

This dataset was created by Natalie R. Davidson and Tamar Hostovsky Brandes with the assistance of Matar Ben Ishai and Gilad Mor. It contains two files, both in Hebrew.

The first, "IHRL in Israeli Courts", is a database of all Israeli court decisions between 1990 and 2019 referring to International Human Rights Law (the sources listed in the Key spreadsheet). Each decision is coded for a long list of attributes detailed in the Key spreadhseet. The general database with all decisions appears in the "United" spreadsheet. The file also contains a spreadsheet focusing on criminal cases only (Criminal), family law cases only (Family), and all cases other than family law cases (NoFamily)

The second file, "IHRL in Israeli Courts - European Convention Law only" contains only those decisions from the general database that refer to the European Convention on Human Rights, the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights and/or the jurisprudence of the European Commission on Human Rights.
