The encounter of a poet with another through the practice of translation takes on the appearance of a hand-to-hand, of a dialectical tension where two different ways of experiencing life and art, two personal poetic consciousnesses intersect and reorganize themselves into a form with new contours. Among the most interesting cases is the one involving two outstanding poets: René Char and his Italian translator Vittorio Sereni.
