Description

These data contain April 1 SWE and peak SWE across the western U.S., simulated by the VIC model in the drought monitor instantiation following Wood and Lettenmaier (2006). These are provided as netCDFs. Peak SWE in California in each of these years is also published as a csv. Note that this is not equivalent to summing the peak SWE netCDF for each year, as the California-total peak SWE values are developed by summing state-wide SWE each day, then obtaining the maximum of that time series.
