File OnlineResource1.pdf = Supplementary Tables and Figure for Mellado et al. (2024).

Folder BodyMAss-ForL contain data and scripts for the analysis of seasonal and yearly trends in body mass and forearm length of C. perspicillata.

Files:
bmass.txt = data set with 4138 observations (bats captured). Variables are: ID = individual number, YearMon (Year and month), Month, Sex, AgeCat = age categories (JV juvenile, SUB - subadult, AD - adult), ForL = forearm length (mm), BM = body mass (g)
scriptBMass.R = R script for the mixed models predicting Body Mass and Forearm Length variation.

Folder Female_Multistate_Models. Because of the data set size and model complexity, it can take several days (depending on processing power) to finish the model fitting. Some of the results were written into files included in the same folder.

Files:
ScriptMultistateModelFemales2023.R = R script for the multistate mark-recapture model (females). WARNING! THIS PROCESS CAN TAKE SEVERAL DAYS OF UNINTERRUPTED RUNNING TO COMPLETE. Some of the results are already written in files included with the script to make it easier to access results.

fembreedch2021.txt = Capture history for 1077 Carollia perspicillata females depicted as: 0 - no capture, N - captured as non-breeder, B - captured as breeder. Individual covariates included: ForL (Forearm Length - mm), BM (Body Mass - g), Tag (Tag type - AA = arm band only, AC = arm band and collar, CC = Collar only), AgeClass (Age category upon first capture - JV = juvenile, SUB = subadult, AD = adult).

Male-PsiBMPred.txt = predicted transition probabilities for male body mass (to be used within the script)

ModelList1.R = R script to perform p-first model selection, starting with p covariates.

ModelList2.R = R script to perform p-first model selection, continuing with S covariates.

ModelList3.R = R script to perform p-first model selection, continuing with Psi covariates.

modselPSPSI.txt = Model selection table (also produced within the script).

Psi-Seas-Id_sex.txt = Transition probability predictions for season, age, and sex (to be used within the script).

S-BM-PredSex.txt = Survival predictions that combine males and females for plotting. In this file, covdata is body mass (to be used within the script).

S-ForL-PredSex.txt = Survival predictions that combine males and females for plotting. In this file, covdata is forearm length (to be used within the script).

S-YearSeasonSex.txt = Survival predictions for the combinations of year, season, and sex. (to be used within the script).
