சமூக கலாச்சார மாற்றத்தில் ஆழ்வார்கள் / Socio-Cultural Reformation by Azhvars

Description

Pallavar period is known as Bhakti movement period. A major role in the religious revival is attributed to the Bhakti cult. Sangha literature emphasizes secular man, music and life. The Sangha texts which were mixed with the life of the ancient people refer to Tirumala by the Tamil names of Maayon and Nedyon. Even though the Lord takes countless births, ten births are said to be the best. Paripadal talks about Boar, Aalari, Balarama and Kritinan among them. Thirumal is portrayed as a goddess in Sangha texts. Thirumal is the god who protects the land of Mullai, herds of cows increase milk and give fertility, Thirumal spreads the sound of Kaayaambu, and the leader tames the strong bulls and marries the women. It can be said that the worship of Maayon, which was deep in the age of religion, has taken many dimensions to maintain itself over time and thus Tamil is growing more and more. Chinnamanur Seppedu sings the praises of the Madurapuri Sangam, where the Mabharatam is performed in Tamil. Even though Vaishnavism developed with Paranthaman as the head of all Gods as the supreme deity, it did not fail to meet the needs of the laymen to fulfil his spiritual needs and  achieve salvation along with devotion
