Description
This dataset includes all the data used for the paper submitted to the journal of Geochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems entitled: "Behavior of amagmatic orogenic geothermal systems: Insights from the Agua Blanca Fault, Baja California, Mexico."
The dataset consists of one Word file, two Excel files, and a Python script, each providing the following information:
Word file: Geological_&_geochemical_dataset
Table 1: Chemical and isotopic compositions of thermal waters.
Table 2: Chemical and isotopic compositions of gases dissolved in thermal waters.
Table S1: Major oxides and Th and U concentrations in host rocks.
Table S2: Calculation of regional geothermal gradients along the Agua Blanca Fault.
Table S3: Stable isotopes and discharge temperature of the thermal waters corrected by the seawater fraction.
Table S4: Geothermometric temperatures, brittle-ductile transition zone depth, geothermal gradient, and the minimum depth of equilibration.
Table S5: Parameters to estimate the hydraulic head gradient.
Excel file 1: Hypocentral_Depths_dataset
This Excel file contains information about seismic events along the Agua Blanca Fault.
Excel file 2: Recharge_discharge_distances
This file contains measurements of the mean distance (Δx) between the average meteoric water recharge elevations and the thermal water discharge.
Python script: Hypocentral_Depths_Analysis
Python code to estimate the depth to base of seismogenic zone (brittle-ductile transition zone) and its uncertainty based on the analysis depth of hypocentral seismic events and their depth errors.
