Type locality: Indonesia, Sumatra, Silago

= Hemiscopis suffusalis var. obscursalis Strand, 1918a: 74

Type locality: Taiwan, Kosempo

Distribution. Indian records: Nilgiris (Caradja 1925, Gupta 1994). Global records: Sumatra, Borneo, Ceylon, Tenasserim (Hampson 1896b), Nepal (Yamanaka 1998), Formosa, Ceylon, Tenasserim, Sumatra, Borneo, Celebes, Queensland, Brisbane, Neu Pommern, China (Caradja 1925).
