D e s c r i p t i o n: Length 3.1 mm. Body shiny and reddish, elytra reddish-brown, antennae yellowish-red with the two basal antennomeres and the eleventh yellow, legs yellowish-red. Body devoid of reticulation. Puncturation of the head evident, absent on the longitudinal median band, that of the pronotum superficial, that of the elytra evident, that of the abdomen clearly visible. Spermatheca Fig. 27.

C o m p a r a t i v e n o t e s: The habitus of the new species is similar to that of A. gestroi BERNHAUER 1927 from Eritrea, of which I have examined a female of the type series (FMHNC). The spermatheca of the new species has the distal bulb narrow, that of A. gestroi is broad. The proximal portion of the spermatheca of the new species is short, that of A. gestroi very long and dilated. The reticulation of the head of the new species is

absent, that of the head of A. gestroi is evident. The eyes of the new species are more protruding than those of A. gestroi.

E t y m o l o g y: The name of the new species means "Inhabitant of Kibwezi."
