The holotype is deposited in NMPC (ex coll. V. Balthasar): HOLOTYPE (J): ‘ Wassuland [hw] // Szechuan China / 1.400 m E. Reitter [p] // O. Semenovi / Typus! m. [hw] / Dr.
V. Balthasar det. [p]’.
Current status. Junior subjective synonym of Liatongus denticornis (Fairmaire, 1887), see JANSSENS (1953) and BALTHASAR (1963c).
