This article considers the evolution of the concept of the “Global South” and approaches to its content, which specifically refers to the developing countries of the world. The article focuses on the origins of the Global South concept, its development and criticism. The article also discusses in detail issues related to the geographical location and socio-economic situation of the southern countries.
