Common name. Persian creasted loach

Taxonomy. Original description: Paracobitis persa Freyhof, Esmaeili, Sayyadzadeh & Geiger, 2014: 29, figs. 19-22 [Fars Province, Maloosjan spring east of Beiza, Kor basin, 29°52'23"N, 52°27'37"E, Iran; holotype: CM-CBSU J2659].

Distribution in Iran. —Distribution in River Basin: Kor River.—Distribution in Ecoregions: 442-Upper Tigris & Euphrates.

Status in Iran. [Endemic].—Loch mahi-e tajdar-e Parsi.—Listed in previous checklists from Iran by Esmaeili et al. (2017 a, 2018); Jouladeh-Roudbar et al. (2020) and Eagderi et al. (2022).—Iran material: ZM-CBSU.

Conservation. —IUCN: NE.
