WORK-RELATED QUALITY OF LIFE DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC. ITS RELATIONSHIP TO SELECTED VARIABLES

The quality of working life began to be discussed more in connection with the changes in working conditions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Working from home, limiting social interactions, online communication are just a few of the changes affecting work-related quality of life (WRQoL). In our study, we focused on selected socio-psychological variables and investigated their relationship with the perceived quality of working life. The research group consisted of 598 persons employed full time, with whom we carried out a cross-sectional data collection using an online questionnaire. Preliminary findings in the analyses of the WRQoLS methodology (Easton & Van Laar, 2018) and its subscales point to the dominant values of the scores of three subscales: working conditions, the interface between work and personal life, and overall subjective well-being. Examining the relationship between the WRQoL subscales and the selected variables led to the finding that all relationships were significant except for the relationship between control at work and work-life conflict. In the paper, we discuss the findings in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, taking into account the implications in the field of occupational psychology.

KVALITA ŽIVOTA SÚVISIACA S PRÁCOU V ČASE PANDÉMIE COVID-19. JEJ VZŤAH K VYBRANÝM PREMENNÝM

O kvalite pracovného života sa začalo viac diskutovať v súvislosti so zmenami pracovných podmienok, ktoré zapríčinila pandémia Covid-19. Práca z domu, obmedzenie sociálnych interakcií, online komunikácia sú len niekoľkými zo zmien, ktoré pôsobia na kvalitu života súvisiacu s prácou (WRQoL). V našej štúdii sme sa zamerali na vybrané sociálno-psychologické premenné, a zisťovali sme ich vzťah s vnímanou kvalitou pracovného života. Výskumný súbor tvorilo 598 osôb zamestnaných full time, s ktorými sme realizovali prierezový zber dát online dotazníkom. Úvodné zistenia v rámci analýz metodiky WRQoLS (Easton & Van Laar, 2018) a jej subškál poukazujú na dominujúce hodnoty skóre troch subškál: pracovné podmienky, rozhranie práce a osobného života a celková subjektívna pohoda. Skúmanie vzťahu medzi subškálami WRQoL a vybranými premennými viedlo k zisteniu, že všetky vzťahy boli významné okrem vzťahu medzi kontrolou v práci a konfliktom medzi životom a prácou. V príspevku diskutujeme zistenia v kontexte pandémie COVID-19, pričom kladieme zreteľ na implikácie v oblasti pracovnej psychológie.
