The desert between the past and modernity (the UAE as a model)

Abstract: The Mongols are considered one of the human races that brought about major and important changes in Islamic history. They also caused panic and terror to all the countries they affected, because after they were just a small tribe moving from one region to another in search of water and pasture, to the point that they called them the Mongols because of their weakness, they became a large empire that ruled. Most of the countries of the Islamic world during the seventh and eighth centuries AH (the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries AD), eliminating the Abbasid Caliphate in its entirety. This is what prompted us to know who the Mongols were and how they grew up socially, as the social systems played an important role in the life of the Gaulish society and several things fell under this name, It may have an impact on the behavior of the individual and groups, negatively or positively, and govern his actions in his dealings with other members of his society, and then the actions he performs within the framework of customs, customs and traditions, inspired by something that our fathers and grandfathers were acquainted with, to become a certain approach from which departure has become an undesirable act. This approach can be traced through the paragraphs of this research, which comes to the fore in what is known as the Mongols’ living systems.

The reason we chose the social systems of the Mongols is that most historians’ interest was focused on the political aspects of the Mongols and their wars. Therefore, the importance of this topic is knowing the other side of the Mongolian individual through knowing his systems of living and his customs and traditions upon which he was raised, which researchers rarely touched upon, so we saw that It is necessary to know the personality of the Mongolian individual in order to know the secret of his strength and success.

Our research, which is entitled The Social Life of the Mongols, consists of two main axes after giving a brief introduction about the Mongols. In the first axis, we dealt with the Mongols’ living systems, in which we extended to their food, drink, and residence, and the Mongolian clothing for all segments of Mongolian society. As for the second axis, it dealt with Mongolian customs and traditions in terms of the classes of Mongolian society, holidays, occasions, and means of entertainment and entertainment, while addressing the most important results that we reached.

ملخص الدراسة: يعد المغول من الاقوام البشرية التي أحدثت تغييرات كبيرة ومهمة في التاريخ الإسلامي، كما أحدثت الفزع والرعب لكل البلاد التي طالتها، ذلك لأنها بعدما كانت مجرد قبيلة صغيرة تنتقل من منطقة إلى أخرى بحثاً عن الماء والكلأ، لدرجة أنهم أسموها المغول لضعفها، أصبحت إمبراطورية كبيرة تحكم معظم بلدان العالم الإسلامي خلال القرنين السابع والثامن الهجري (الثالث عشر والرابع عشر الميلادي)، فأزالت الخلافة العباسية برمتها، ذلك ما دفعنا لنعرف من هم المغول وكيف نشأوا اجتماعياً , اذ لعبت النظم الاجتماعية دوراً مهماً في حياة المجتمع الغولي واندرج تحت هذا المسمى عدة امور قد تكون ذات تأثير على مسلك الفرد والجماعات سلبا او إيجابا ,وتحكم تصرفاته في تعامله مع غيره من افراد مجتمعه ,ثم ما يقوم به من اعمال في اطار الأعراف والعادات والتقاليد, المستوحى من امر تعارف عليه الآباء والأجداد, ليصبح نهجأ معينا اضحى الخروج عنه عملاً غير مستحب, و هذا المنهج يمكن تتبعه من خلال فقرات هذا البحث والذي يأتي في المقدمة بما يعرف بنظم المغول المعيشية.

وسبب اختيارنا للنظم الاجتماعية للمغول يعود الى ان معظم المؤرخين كان اهتمامهم قد انصب على النواحي السياسية للمغول وحروبهم, فتمكن الاهمية في هذا الموضوع هو معرفة الوجه الاخر للفرد المغولي من خلال معرفة نظمه المعيشية وعاداته و تقاليده التي تربى عليها والذي قلما تطرق اليه الباحثين, لذا رأينا انه من الضروري معرفة شخصية الفرد المغولي حتى نعرف سر قوته ونجاحه. يتكون بحثنا والذي هو بعنوان الحياة الاجتماعية للمغول من محورين اساسين بعد إعطاء تمهيد موجز عن المغول, ففي المحور الاول تناولنا نظم المغول المعيشية والذي تطرفنا فيه الى مأكلهم ومشربهم ومسكنهم والملابس المغولية لكل فئات المجتمع المغولي. اما المحور الثاني فتناولت فيه العادات و التقاليد المغولية من حيث طبقات المجتمع المغولي الاعياد والمناسبات ووسائل التسلية والترفية المغولية, مع التطرق الى اهم النتائج التي توصلنا اليها.
