Passive Retranslation with Space Wave Coupled Antennas

This paper presents an easy to apply approach to extend the range and improve the data speed of a cellular phone in areas with poor coverage or provide access outside the planned coverage. The system is based on passive retranslation (passive repeater) and inductive (space wave) antenna coupling. Sample designs are presented and measurement results delivered.
