¿Deseando amar? Una aproximación a la diferencia de género en el relato de cómic amoroso

Description

Gender differences are socially constructed and they are reflected in the cultural products that a determinate context produces. The taxonomy in different targets that industry and institutions produce in order to build their messages elicit the fact that this difference exists. Comic as consumption object inserted in a mass culture system (re) produce and (re) invent the gender differences constructions in their pages. Romance comics designates a target, women, as the most suitable audience, and present the idea of" romantic love" as the essential theme of their stories reintroducing paternalist models as guarantee of their value. This article reflects on the problem about the perpetuation of these values through romance comic as a specific product
