Fig. 4. Substrate preferences of recombinant EcHSD1, EcHSD2 and EcHSD3. Pregnenolone, progesterone, testosterone, 5oi-pregnane-3βol-20-one, 5β-pregnane-3,20-dione 5oi-pregnane-3,20-dione and 4-androstene-3,17-dione were tested. Products were separated and identified by GC–MS. The average values of three independent determinations are presented with error bars indicating ±SD.
