Authors/Creators
Description
Fig. 4. Changes in the extent of lipid peroxidation, as indicated by malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, during germination in C. humilis var. humilis seeds. Data are the mean ± SE of 5 plots, including 5 bags each. Different letters indicate significant differences between phases of germination (ANOVA, P 6 0.05). Phase 0: Non germinated seeds. Phase I: Opening of the operculum. Phase II: Emergence of the cotyledonary petiole. Phase III: Swelling of the cotyledonary petiole and appearance of the radicle.
