Description
Antennarius biocellatus (Cuvier 1817) — Brackish frogfish (Fig. 23)
Status at New Ireland. New record, based on specimen photographed at Lissenung Island by Dietmar Amon on 16 May 2009.
Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Philippines, north to Taiwan, south to Papua New Guinea and Solomon islands. Found in inshore habitats and estuaries, 0–10 m depth. Freshwater, transitional water and marine.
