Status at New Ireland. First recorded from off south of Ambu Village, western New Ireland by Borodulina (1978: 41)
Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 3.—General distribution: circumglobal in tropical and warm temperate oceans. Bathypelagic, 100–600 m depth. Marine.
