Data supporting GRL submission

This record supports manuscript submission, "Deciphering the role of total water storage anomalies in mediating regional flooding".

This dataset includes

YangtzeQ.pkl, streamflow records from 2000 to 2023. We extracted Yangtze River Stations at Hankou and Yichang (format Python pickle)

scatterplot_eps.zip, Basin averaged annual maximum events (including annual maxima of precipitation, CSR5d, and streamflow) for all 92 gages analyzed

timeseriesplot.zip, Time series plots of precipitation, CSR5d and streamflow for all 92 gages analyzed

csr5d_basin.zip, raw data of CSR5d, precipitation, and streamflow time series at all 92 gages (formation Python pikcle)

[Update 1/11/2025]: Added basinaverage_timeseries.zip, which contains raw basin average time series for each GRDC station. 

• File format, dataxxx.pkl, where xxx is GRDC gage id.
• To open each pkl file, do
  • import pandas as pd
  • res = pd.read_pickle('dataxxx.pkl')
• res is a dictionary containing three dataframes, TWS, tp, and Q. For example, res['TWS'] retrieves the dataframe containing TWS data
