Phonetics and Phonology at NSU: Integrating the Eclectic Method in Transformative Student Research
Description
This study investigates the application of the eclectic method to phonetics and phonology instruction at Nakhchivan State University (NSU). Through a combination of teaching strategies, the research aims to evaluate the method's effectiveness in improving students' phonetic and phonological skills. The methodology involved a mix of auditory discrimination tasks, kinesthetic learning, and phonemic analysis, with data collected via pre- and post-intervention assessments. The results indicate significant improvements in students' abilities to analyze and produce phonetic sounds. This paper discusses the implications for language teaching practices and curriculum development at NSU.
