TAORMINA - NECROPOLI NECROPOLIS
Description
The torso of a statue in Parian marble comes from the Naumachie of Taormina. It is a Roman replica of the early imperial age (1st century BC) from a Greek original of the Hellenistic age. He was influenced by the influences of the art of Praxiteles whose art embodied the ideal of charis or beauty combined with grace.
