TYANA ANTİK KENTİ 3B MODELİ
Description
Tyana is located in the borders of Kemerhisar and Bahçeli Municipalities in Bor district of Niğde. In ancient times, it was the largest settlement close to the Kilikia Gate in the South of the Kappadokia Region. Tyana was also one of the two major cities of Kappadokia Region with Kaisareia. Tyana was of strategic importance due to its proximity to both Kaisareia and Kilikia Gates. It played an important stop role in commercial, military and religious travels. This is thought to be the basis for being attacked by many states. From the Assyrian Colony Age, respectively, under the rule of the Hittite Empire, the Tabal Kingdom of the New Assyrian Empire, the Phrig Kingdom, the Persian Empire, the Kappadokia Kingdom in the Hellenistic Period, the Roman Empire and the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire stayed. The ancient city lost its importance after the Arab Raids.
Three Buildings built in the Roman Period in Tyana have survived- Roman pool, Roman bath and Aquaductus.
