Saint Bartholomew (s. XVI)

Corbel of the cloister of [San Zoilo](https://goo.gl/26b20Q) (s. XVI) de [Carrión de los Condes](https://goo.gl/ydUlf4) (Palencia) with the bust of [Saint Bartholomew](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bartholomew_the_Apostle). On both sides appears the usual iconography associated with the apostle. To his right are seen the tools of his martyrdom, the tools of his skinning, while to the left appears the chained demon, scene associated with his legend, which tells how preaching in Persia subdued the demon Astaroth / Astarte.
