(Figs. 21E–H)

Type material. Holotype. Male, “ Japan: Hokkaidô / Samani-tyô, Horoman / 2. V. 2023, D. Sumikawa ” (abdominal segments VIII-X and aedeagus are dissected) (Fig. 21E) (KUM). Paratype. 1 female, same data as holotype (head, abdominal segments VIII–X, and aedeagus are dissected) (KUM).

Diagnosis. This new species is similar to other species of Paramblopusa but can be distinguished by the following characteristics: eyes absent, body color yellowish brown.

Description. Body slender, and flattened. Body color yellowish brown. Head almost circular; eyes absent; antennae longer than head and pronotum combined; segment I longest, as long as segment II and III combined; segment II shorter than I; segments III–VIII as long as wide; segments IX and X slightly wider than long; segment XI about 1.5 times longer than wide. Labrum rectangular and transverse, with about 20 setae. Mandibles symmetric, with 3 or 4 small teeth between apex and median tooth. Maxillary palpi 4 segmented; segment I very short; segment II and III ovular; segment IV thin, as long as II. Labium: prementum without medial seta; ligula unilobed, short; labial palpi 3 articled, segment II thinner than I. Mentum almost triangular, incised at apex. Pronotum flattened and subquadrate. Elytra longer than wide, and almost adherent. Abdomen almost parallel-sided. Legs: tarsi very short; tarsal formula 4-4-5.

Male: tergite VIII, apical margin truncate; sternite VIII, apical margin slightly prolonged posteriorly; median lobe short and thick, apical lobe short, slightly pointed (Fig. 21F); apical lobe of paramere slender (Fig. 21H).

Female: tergite VIII, apical margin truncate; sternite VIII, apical margin rounded; spermatheca small, apical part circular, coiled twice at base (Fig. 21G)

Measurements. (Holotype, male): FBL, 0.84 mm; HW, 0.36 mm; PL, 0.34 mm; PW, 0.36 mm; EW, 0.33 mm.

Etymology. The specific name is named after Mr. Daisuke Sumikawa, the collector of the type series of the new species.

Remarks. Measurements were taken after the holotype other than BL because the paratype was dissected.

Habitat. This new species was collected from a beach gravel (1.5–20 mm in diameter) together with Amblopusa brevipes and Paramblopusa borealis (personal comments from D. Sumikawa).

Distribution. Japan: Hokkaidô.
