Archaeological interpretation of the ALS data. The Bled micro-region
Authors/Creators
Description
This Deliverable 2.1a is an interim airborne LiDAR report developed within a collaboration between WP2.1 (E. Lozić) and WP4.1 (B. Štular, M. Belak, A. Pleterski). Due to the specific archaeology, geology and geomorphology of the Bled micro-region the archaeological interpretation of airborne LiDAR derived data has been focused on detecting new Late Antiquity Period settlements. As in any airborne LiDAR analysis entire archaeological landscape record must be taken into account. Over 1000 features has been recorded, 265 of those are potential archaeological features. As the most important result of this analysis a discovery of previously unknown Prehistoric and Late Antiquity Period hillfort settlement on Ribenska gora is to be mentioned.
