Description

Govan 12 ([Stirling Maxwell's numbering](https://archive.org/details/sculpturedstone00maxwgoog/page/n30/mode/2up); ECMS 13) is one of 31 early medieval recumbent cross-slabs originally recorded at Govan Old in 1899, but is one of few that have angle-knobs. This is currently displayed upright, but these monuments would have originally laid flat in the churchyard, likely marking the grave of a significant early medieval individual. This monument is fragmented, but there are no records for what the lower part would have looked like. There are striking similarities in design to [Inchinnan 1](https://skfb.ly/6sWrM). This 3D model was created as part of Dr Megan Kasten's PhD, available here: http://theses.gla.ac.uk/74266/. The 3D model was created with SfM photogrammetry, using Agisoft Metashape, and edited with Zbrush.
