Description

Scan by [Christer Lindqvist](https://sketchfab.com/Pappac). Retopology by Niclas Ekholm. Helmet used by the Stockholm police around 1900. Made of black molded leather, and with brass braces. At the front an emblem with the head of King Eric the Holy (Saint Eric) inside the lesser coat of arms of Sweden. Saint Eric is Sweden's patron saint and also depicted in in the coat of arms of Stockholm. The helmet was transferred to the Stockholm City Museum in 1939, together with about 80 other objects. They were part of a collection created by an official in the City's waste management, who had collected objects thrown away by the city's inhabitants since the beginning of the 20th century. Read more about this unusual collection in the Digital City Museum (Digitala Stadsmuseet).
