The Mysterious Chain
Description
This heavy-duty chain is fixed into an old wall at Bank Top Kilns, Rosedale. The original purpose of the wall and structure is unclear - perhaps it was an earlier kiln later demolished for reuse, perhaps it was some form of siding or loading bay. The 1893 Ordnance Survey map shows some form of structure, but not enough detail to answer the question.
