Collection and item number: Robert Zigler Collection, #61 Origin: Bobo Fing people, West Africa, c. 1990 Size: 6"H x 14 1/2"W x 6 3/4"D Media: Wood and pigment Note: A carefully carved and painted object of dubious authenticity. The base is carved as a face mask but the wearer cannot see out. The workmanship is "right," however, exhibiting black and white striated horn, "target" eyes, and prominent ears.
