Levanna Projectile Point
Description
A jasper Levanna projectile point recovered during the 1943 archaeological excavation of precontact period sites along the Susquehanna River in Cecil County, Maryland by Richard Stearns and the Natural History Society of Maryland. Levanna projectile points dates to the late Middle Woodland and Late Woodland periods ranging from 800 and 1250 AD. Some archaeologists suggest this point type was manufactured as late as 1350 AD.
