Monsea Church (TN020-028001-) Door Chamfer Stop
Description
Only the lower chamfered jambstone survives of the northern doorway into Monsea church ruins (TN020-028001-), County Tipperary. This doorway was located at the western end of the northern wall of Monsea Church. The chamfer on the angle of the doorway jambstone has a decorative terminal at the base of the doorway which is known as a chamfer stop. The decorative type of chamfer stop at Monsea is a pyramidal-stop with horizontal bar above.
