Abydos King List, Temple of Seti I

Famous 19th Dynasty king list of Seti I in his mortuary temple at Abydos, Egypt Relief shows pharaoh Seti I and prince Ramses paying homage to their ancestors represented by the names of the former kings of Egypt. Ruler during the First and Second Intermediate Periods are not included as these are considered to be periods of chaos or "isfet." Also missing are the names of Hatshepsut and the rulers of the Amarna Period like Akhenaten, Tutankhamen, and Aye as they too purposely left out to erase them from existence.
