AdaptationAtlas/AMD_adaptive-capacity: Asian Mega-deltas: The Adaptive Capacity App

This app provides a simple interface to explore a holistic analysis of the adaptive capacity of smallholder farming communities in the Mekong River delta and Ganges-Brahmaputra regions of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Bangladesh. Users can select the regions they are interested in (country level, admin 1, and admin 2), and visualize an adaptive capacity index, along with sub-indicators related to economic, social, human, and physical capitals, for the regions selected. This can be used to help develop intervention strategies that target the most vulnerable regions and the factors most limiting to adaptive capacity in a specific region. This was developed as part of the CGIAR Asian Mega Delta Research Initiative.

How can I use it?

• View maps Adaptive Capacity, 4 capitals (economic, social, human, physical), and individual variables at a sub-national level
• Identify the regions with the lowest adaptive capacity and the factors limiting the adaptive capacity in those regions
• Explore spatial patterns of adaptive capacity across different administrative units in a country
• Download datasets for further analysis
