Eleotris amblyopsis (Cope 1871). Large-Scaled Spinycheek Sleeper; Guavina, Pez Perro, Lucia, Dormilón, Dormilón Oscuro
Vouchers: UCR 0267-009 (1), 0448-005 (2) and 0449-002 (1); FMNH IBUNAM 13775 (1) and 13777 (1).
Distribution: Western Atlantic Ocean; from North Carolina, USA, to southeastern Brazil; entering estuaries and littoral lagoons and ascending river courses; (Nicaragua) UI, WK, Pr, GM, KP, Es, BF, IM and To (Atlantic); 0–18 masl; Per, Dia, Amp. Occurrence and conservation status: Nat; LC (2019), population trend stable.
