Type localities. (T. o.) Thiès, Senegal; (M. n.) Guinea.

Distribution. Senegal, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Cameroon (Beier 1968; Giglio-Tos 1915b; Prost & Roy 1986; Roy 1962a, 1969, 1971b; Sĵstedt 1930).

Remarks. Rather common in the northern parts of the country. Males are attracted to lights in large numbers. Nymphs and adult females are terricolous and myrmecomorphic, but of a more generalized type than the following species.
