Vanishing publications: we hear from the experts working on the preservation of online scholarship (part three)
Description
Over the last twenty years or so, important scholarly publications have been vanishing from the internet. With that in mind, Dr Deborah Thorpe speaks to a wide range of experts who are working on the preservation of online scholarly content. This is part two of a three-part series.
In this third part Dr Thorpe speaks with Dr James O'Sullivan, University College Cork (UCC) Lecturer in the Department of Digital Humanities, about this issue in relation to a specialist area of his: digital scholarly editions. James is Co-PI of the C-21 Editions project, which seeks to investigate and advance the practices of scholarly digital editing. The post closes with information and advice from the team at UCC Library on proactively ensuring the long-term preservation of digital scholarly content.
