Description
Haniwa are ceramic objects that were placed on the surface of mounded tombs. Haniwa ceramic cylinders were lined up to demarcate the inside and outside of a tomb or to decorate the tomb. Haniwa-figurines of humans and animals and models of houses depict scenes of rituals or other occasions.
