Inagawa geisha

This beautiful geisha doll was gifted to the City of Ballarat by the town of Inagawa, Japan. This and other gifts marked the occasion of signing the Sister City Agreement between Ballarat and Inagawa by their respective Mayors on 1 August, 1988. The two local government areas have engaged in many cultural and educational activities in the spirit of friendship, freedom and peace for thirty years since the agreement was signed.
