A short history and update of sponge movement naming conventions
Description
This document is supplemental to Ruperti, et al. (2023) Molecular profiling of sponge deflation reveals an ancient relaxant-inflammatory response.
It gives a brief overview of the history of the naming convention of sponge movement and concludes with updated naming conventions based on the results of the publication.
