Distribution. Nearctic. Canada: BC, YT. USA: AK, NH (NSR).
Collection and Habitat data. In NH found at high elevations in willow litter, and in dwarf Salix, Vaccinium, leatherleaf litter. Collected in August/September. In AK found in alpine tundra, and under rocks near snow fields. In Canada found in spruce and aspen forests with horsetail/shrub/grass undergrowth, and under rocks near snowfields (Klimaszewski et al. 2021).
Material. USA, New Hampshire, Coos Co.: Mt. Washington, Alpine Garden, 7.VIII.1982, D.S. Chandler, sift willow litter, 1 male. Mt. Washington above tree line, 5200–5700’, 10.IX.1987, J.M. Campbell and A. Davies, dwarf Salix, Vaccinium, leatherleaf litter (CNC), 1 male.
Comments. This record represents a disjunct extension in the distribution of this species, which is possibly a relict from the time of the last glaciation.
