Description
Presentation given by Dr Samantha P. Kanza on behalf of PSDI at Smart Labs & Automation 2022. Abstract: Making improvements to digitisation is a two-stage problem, we need to encourage people to digitise more, and we need better systems to manage the plethora of electronic data once it makes its way into digital form. This is a very complex matter that cannot be solved by one piece of software. Too many projects and systems look to re-invent the wheel without considering the real issues at hand, barriers to usage or user requirements/barriers. This presentation will explore what users really want, the barriers to digitisation and discuss how we can improve digitisation using the wide array of software packages available today.
