Description

These proceedings concern the poster "The Queer History of Physics" presented at 31st International Symposium on Lepton Photon Interactions at High Energies. It concerns the historic marginalisation of queer people in physics, and proposes an framework based on the discursive construction of sexuality and gender to recover the queer history of physics. We use radio astronomer Ruby Payne-Scott (1912-1981) as an example of the use of this framework. The poster received the People's Choice award.
